The California Capitol Black Staff Association (CCBSA)
supports the development and growth of African
American political professionals through civic and
community engagement, education,
and empowerment.

What is CCBSA?

The California Capitol Black Staff Association (CCBSA) is a Sacramento based nonprofit organization that provides a supportive environment for the African American Capitol community through professional development, civic engagement, community outreach and education on issues, policies and industries relevant to California.

CCBSA strives to serve the Capitol community by providing opportunities for life-skills and career development, policy and informational forums, civic educational programs and social networking events that cultivate relationships between individuals and organizations within the Capitol community.

As a nonprofit organization, CCBSA is committed to enhancing the level of professional skills of its members and partners as well as engaging youth in civic life through internships, scholarships and support of existing civic engagement programs specifically designed for minors.


CCBSA welcomes the participation and support of all who are interested in contributing to and learning about the African American community in and around the Capitol.
